Remarkable Minds is an award winning in-home parenting and behaviour support agency. Our aim is to equip you with the tools and strategies you need in order to manage and encourage more positive behaviour and help improve everyday activities with your child.
At Remarkable Minds we will offer individually customised consultations and programs to suit your family and their needs. We realise that your child is unique and therefore adapt methods to best suit your family. By offering an in-home service we know that your children are more likely to respond positively to methods implemented in their comfort zone and in familiar surroundings.
Funda Yolal – Director, Principal Psychologist and Parenting Expert
Funda Yolal is the director at Remarkable Minds Psychology. She is a registered psychologist and has completed a Master of Health Science (Behavioural Science) at University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Sociology) at University of New South Wales. Funda has over 15 years of experience implementing programs for children and working with parents and caregivers on behaviour management, social skills, communication skills, academic skills and daily living skills. She has also worked with children and adults with special needs conditions including down syndrome, autism, intellectual disability, and cerebral palsy.
Funda has been involved with various methods, including but not limited to, Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), DIR/Floortime, Play Therapy, Triple P Parenting, and 1,2,3 Magic. As an experienced psychologist, Funda draws on the best approach for each family and helps distressed parents get results. Funda has great interest in cultural awareness and has published numerous articles in newspapers about culturally diverse children with special needs and effective therapies. Funda is regularly featured in news articles and she enjoys keeping up-to-date with research around parenting and child development. She also trains staff at schools and daycares on best practice approaches.
As a psychologist and a parent, Funda is always on the hunt for the best quality educational games, books, resources and strategies to best facilitate a child’s learning and development. Funda has launched an on-line parenting and resource store: Tiny Living Co., where you’ll find educational toys, activities and resources to help a child’s learning and emotional development.
As the mother of three beautiful children, she understands how important a positive and loving environment is. It is our goal at Remarkable Minds Psychology to help you create this kind of environment in your home.
Daniel Yammine - Provisional Psychologist / Behaviour Consultant
Daniel is a Behaviour Consultant here at Remarkable Minds Psychology; He has a Bachelor in Psychology completed at WSU and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychological sciences from ACAP; He is pursuing the completion of his honours this year.
Daniel has worked as a social educator in disability services for several years; working with adults with a range of physical and mental disabilities, including ASD. He believe's that every child is different, irrespective of their diagnosis and requires an individual-centred approach based on their specific needs.
Daniel has worked with a range of children and also has a great amount of experience working with adolescents-adults; giving him an insight into the application and benefit of early intervention approaches and how they might develop later in life.
Daniel is interested in theories of personality development, theoretical learning approaches and complex post-traumatic stress. His personal interests surround technology, fitness and nutrition and writing. Engaging in our environment, Expressing our experience and keeping a healthy mind and body are extremely important values for Daniel.
Taryn Glover - Supervisor / Behaviour Consultant
Taryn is a dedicated Senior Behaviour Consultant with a passion for helping children with additional needs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from The University of Western Sydney.
Taryn has a passionate love for gardening and has seen first hand the therapeutic benefits. Taryn’s certificate in Horticultural Therapy explores the uniqueness of implementing gardening and plant based activities to improve mental and physical health and promoting positive behaviour modification. She finds that engaging in horticulture offers a therapeutic outlet for individuals, promoting relaxation and reducing stress, which can help in managing anxiety and depressive symptoms. The structured, goal-orientated nature of gardening tasks can enhance focus, patience and responsibility, contributing to positive behavioural changes.
With over 4 years experience in the field of Behavioural Therapy, she has positively impacted the lives of many children with Autism. Trained in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) and other Positive Behaviour Support frameworks, she uses positive reinforcement and a play-based approach to foster independence and confidence in each child. Having worked with children aged 2 to 25 in both group and individual settings, she understands the importance of implementing personalised strategies to meet each child’s unique needs and goals.
Her friendly and outgoing personality helps to build strong relationships with children and families. She believes that a positive family relationship contributes to a child's comfort and confidence in achieving their goals. This approach assist her in enhancing children’s verbal and nonverbal communication, executive functioning, and social skills.

Sarah Nehme - Behaviour Consultant
Sarah is a Behaviour Consultant here at Remarkable Minds Psychology. She has a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Western Sydney University and is pursuing postgraduate studies in the field next year.
Over the past five years Sarah has gained invaluable experience working with individuals of all ages who face a wide spectrum of physical and mental disabilities. Her Expertise spans across various fields including aged care services, paediatric support and community services with a particular focus on youth and family mental health support. Sarah is committed to facilitating smooth transitions as people move into new and often challenging stages of life.
As an outgoing and non-judgemental professional, Sarah is committed to reducing stigma around disabilities and fostering a more understanding and accepting community. Her warm and approachable personality makes her the perfect ally for parents and children navigating the challenges that come with disabilities.

Victoria Halmet - Behaviour Consultant
Victoria is a Behaviour Consultant, with a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology and is currently completing her Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Australian College of Applied Psychology.
Victoria has been working alongside the NDIS in the community for several years, working with diverse populations, different mental health presentations and physical disabilities. Through working in the community and closely with the NDIS Victoria has found her passion in helping those in need. Victoria has worked with Neurodivergent individuals for over 2 years and is excited to work with the remarkable children/families seeking support. In the community Victoria has seen the impact first hand of early intervention and the positive changes that therapeutic support brings about in adolescents and adults.
Victoria believes that all children/families are unique in their needs and experiences, therefore Victoria recognizes the importance in building a strong relationship of trust and mutual understanding with families/teachers. Victoria grounds herself in a person centered approach which highlights respecting the individual and their strengths, an empathetic understanding and the creation of a personalised experience of therapy.
Victoria is interested in theories of attachment and personality development, especially in early childhood. Victoria’s personal interests include fitness, music, traveling and spending quality time with her family.
Nour Al Bacha - Behaviour Consultant
Nour is a Behaviour Consultant who has completed a Masters of Clinical Psychology. She has a university diploma in systemic family therapy.
Nour has over 3 years of experience working with various organisations and collaborating with individuals and teams to identify behavior patterns, devise tailored strategies, and foster environments where optimal outcomes thrive.
She worked with children and their families implementing psychosocial support. She has been trained in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) and many other child mental health related training.
Devoted to understanding the intricacies of the human mind and fostering emotional well-being, Nour has worked diligently to empower individuals in their journeys of self-knowledge, healing, and growth. Her holistic approach is accompanied by her calm and reasonable nature which she uses to encourage and foster a safe and comfortable environment in order to better communicate with her clients.
When she has some free time, Nour enjoys reading and watching doco-series. She loves being outdoors and cooking for her family.
Nicole Elias - Behaviour Consultant
Nicole is a Behaviour Consultant who has a Bachelor's in Psychology (Honours), a Master’s in Psychological Studies, and a Provisional Registration with AHPRA. She is pursuing to attain a PhD in the field of Neuropsychology next year.
Nicole has been working as a Provisional Psychologist for people across the lifespan (from children to elderly) which entails providing assessment for NDIS, mental health assessment, counselling (short-term and long-term), clinical therapy, and neurocognitive research. This experience delegates her ability to establish rapport with children, understand their emotional and psychological needs, and provide tailored support that fosters positive behaviour changes.
Nicole passionately embraces an organic lifestyle, prioritising natural approaches to fitness and overall well-being. She believes in the importance of living authentically, doing what is right, and finding joy in self-acceptance and personal growth. This philosophy not only shapes her personal life but also enriches her professional practice as a Behaviour Consultant, where she integrates these principles to promote holistic health and positive behavioural change in others. Obai Abdulrah- Junior Therapist
Obai is currently a Junior Behaviour Therapist at Remarkable Minds Psychology. He is in the process of completing an Honours degree in Psychology and has a strong foundation in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy.
Obai's professional journey includes experience within the allied health sector, where he has interacted with individuals of all ages, from children to adults. This experience has encompassed assisting individuals facing mental health challenges and a variety of physical disabilities. This extensive background has equipped Obai with the ability to tailor therapy approaches to the specific needs of each individual.
Having worked with both children and adults, Obai possesses valuable insights into the advantages of early intervention approaches and their impact on an individual's long-term development.

April Marciniak - Practice Manager
With over five years’ experience in administration, April takes great joy in supporting the team and assisting families in their time of need. She is well experienced in working with parents and children and finds it especially rewarding to be a part of their journey and helping them achieve their goals.
Working collaboratively with the team, April aims to optimise the smooth running of the practice and looks for ways to improve daily operations. Making sure everyone on the team is supported so that every family's needs are looked after is what April strives for.
April is fascinated by human psychology and is grateful to be part of a team working towards making positive changes in people’s lives.
In her spare time, April enjoys reading, writing, playing piano and spending time with friends and family.
Ellie Shaw - Administrative Assistant
Ellie has over 4 years’ experience in customer service and takes pride in her administration role with a smile on her face every day. She believes that her job is a crucial part in helping families achieve their therapy needs and enjoys daily interactions and conversation with our clients
Ellie has a strong love for kids and their welfare and has future aspirations of becoming a Child Protective Services Worker. She would also like to rescue as many animals as possible and find them all permanent and safe homes.
In her spare time Ellie enjoys cooking, playing with her bunny, spending time with family and going out!
